Solana rug pull checker
verify a token before you ape
Solana rugs do not work like Ethereum rugs. The risk lives in mint and freeze authorities, liquidity state, and the holder graph, not in contract transfer logic. Here is what actually matters, including pump.fun launches, and how to verify any Solana token in seconds.

Why Solana rugs are different
On Ethereum, a rug usually lives in the contract: transfer taxes, blacklists, or an upgradeable proxy. Solana tokens have none of that. A Solana token is a mint, and its risk lives in a different place: who can still mint new supply, who can freeze your account, whether the liquidity is real and locked, and who actually holds the float.
That is why an EVM rug checker misreads Solana, and why generic rug-pull advice does not protect you here. The right checks are Solana-native: mint authority, freeze authority, LP burn, and the holder graph behind the token.
Solana-native rug signals
Mint authority still enabled
If the mint authority is not revoked, the creator can mint unlimited new tokens at any time and dilute every holder to near zero. A safe Solana token has mint authority revoked.
Freeze authority still enabled
Solana's version of a sell block. An active freeze authority lets the creator freeze your token account so you cannot sell, while they exit. Look for freeze authority revoked.
Liquidity not burned or locked
If the LP tokens are still held by the developer rather than burned or locked, the pool can be pulled the moment buyers arrive. Burned or locked LP is what actually protects you.
Bundler concentration
A launch bundled across many wallets controlled by one entity, used to fake a healthy holder distribution while a single actor really holds most of the supply.
Sniper concentration
Snipers that grabbed a large share of supply in the first block or two. A few wallets holding the early float can dump the moment the chart attracts buyers.
Creator-linked holders
Top holders funded by, or one hop from, the creator wallet. Apparent distribution that all traces back to one source is concentration in disguise.
Pump.fun migration risk
For bonding-curve launches, the move from the curve to a DEX pool is a common manipulation point: liquidity can be shaped or pulled around migration. Read the migration, not just the curve.
Fresh wallet clusters
Clusters of brand-new wallets co-funded shortly before launch are a classic setup for coordinated buying and a coordinated exit.
How to check a Solana token
Check the mint authority
Confirm the mint authority is revoked. If it is still enabled, the supply can be inflated at will, the single most direct Solana rug vector.
Check the freeze authority
Confirm the freeze authority is revoked. An active freeze authority can stop you selling, so it functions like a honeypot even if everything else looks fine.
Check the liquidity
Is the LP burned or locked, or still held by the developer? Developer-held LP is the most common Solana exit, pulled the moment volume arrives.
Check holder concentration
Look past the holder count. Bundlers, snipers, and creator-linked wallets can make a token look distributed while one actor controls the float.
Scan the full mint
Combine authorities, liquidity, and concentration into one verdict instead of checking each by hand, and read pump.fun migration behaviour where it applies.
One scan, the whole mint
XemaS reads the Solana mint and holder graph into a single evidence-backed verdict.
Verdict: mint authority is still live, liquidity is developer-held, and the float traces back to the creator. The supply can be inflated and the pool pulled at will. Do not buy.
Illustrative example. Run a real Solana mint to see its live verdict.
Coverage and limits
Authorities are clear; intent is inferred. Mint and freeze authority state is read directly from the chain and is reliable. Holder-graph signals like bundler, sniper, and creator links are inferred from on-chain behaviour and carry a confidence level, so weigh them as evidence, not proof.
Pump.fun moves fast. Brand-new launches have little history, and state can change around bonding-curve migration. A clean read seconds after launch reflects a thin record, not a guarantee.
Absence of evidence is not safety. Revoked authorities and burned LP remove the most direct exits, but they do not make a token a good investment. Use the read alongside your own judgement.
